Creamer and Lloyd

What inspires us

Everything we experience forms a part of who we are and what we do and therefore what we offer.  We rely heavily on the arts to inspire us and this is critical to us as individuals as well as a business.

Everyone at Creamer and Lloyd has their own budget for research and inspiration.  On a regular basis we share on our website the best experiences we’ve had.

  1. Love Story at Duchess Theatre, London

A case where the baggage (the film, the stars, the book, THAT tune) simply disperses as you are drawn into the story afresh. Beautifully written, directed and sung.

  2. Novecento @ Trafalgar Studios

Is as brilliant and gripping as it is odd. Alessandro Baricco's monologue is evocative and superbly delivered on stage.

  3. Earthquakes in London at the National Theatre

The staging was clever - standing by a catwalk that snaked through the audience with actors often beside you. Your eyeline was always up. It moved, on all levels, at a cracking pace. Literally uplifting.

  4. London Assurance, Olivier Theatre

This little known nineteenth century comedy by Dion Boucicault's was a complete delight. Filled with confused identity, bawdy bravado and some wonderful language, it felt like the actors were enjoying themselves as much as the audience.

  5. Hansel and Gretel at the Old Vic, Bristol

We traveled to Bristol just to see their interpretation of this obscure and not always child-friendly fairy tale. As always, great acting boarding on grotesque and magical mise-en-scène.
